Nusa Nickel Corp. is pleased to share that Robert Tjandra, President & COO of Nusa Nickel Corp. and Chairman of the Canada Chapter of CBF Indonesia, will participate as a speaker at the Indonesia-Alberta Energy Forum 2026 in Calgary.
Presented by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Vancouver, the forum brings together government, industry, investors, and energy stakeholders from Indonesia and Canada under the theme “Alberta-Indonesia Energy Partnership: From Policy to Projects.”
Robert will join Panel Session II, “Doing Energy Business in Indonesia: Industry Experience & Case Studies,” alongside Dr. Henry Groen MBA, CPA, Special Advisor at Criterium Energy, and Cenovus Energy Inc. (TBC). The session will be moderated by Suryo Nugroho, Policy & Business Analyst Asia Pacific & Canada at Onyx Canada (TBC).
The panel is designed to provide practical industry perspectives on operating in Indonesia, including market entry, investment conditions, business practices, and the role of strategic partnerships in turning policy momentum into commercial activity.
The forum comes at an important time for Canada-Indonesia relations. Prime Minister Mark Carney and President Prabowo Subianto recently discussed opportunities to deepen trade and investment ties between the two countries, building on the anticipated ratification of the Canada-Indonesia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.
"Indonesia has become one of the most strategically important jurisdictions in the world for critical minerals, industrial development, and energy investment. As trade and investment ties between Canada and Indonesia continue to strengthen, I believe there is a significant opportunity for Canadian companies to participate in the country's long-term growth. Nusa Nickel has positioned itself directly within that ecosystem, and I look forward to discussing both the opportunities and practical realities of doing business in Indonesia" - Robert Tjandra
For Nusa Nickel, the discussion is directly aligned with the company’s strategy inside Indonesia’s world-leading nickel industry, including exploration and production potential, domestic nickel trading, and future opportunities connected to intermediate nickel products and downstream supply chains.
Nusa Nickel is proud to have Robert contribute to this important panel discussion and looks forward to supporting continued dialogue around Canada-Indonesia cooperation, critical minerals, energy development, and industrial growth.
